European School Frankfurt collects money for Nepal

After the recent earthquakes and the devastation in Nepal pupils of all years and language sections were very touched. Therefore, the school launched many different fundraising events.

Mrs Graner’s pupils completed small jobs  around the house for donations from families, neighbours and friends.

Students completed jobs such as babysitting, cutting the grass, doing the washing up and cleaning in return for donations. They raised an impressive €340 in a very short time.

Mrs Humphries organised a whole school pyjama/onesie day which was a great success and a further €860 were raised during this event.

The annual Christmas tombola money of €150 from the schools caterer Menüpartner was also decided by the student committee to be donated to Nepal.

All of Mr. Zangrossi’s classes organised a Bake sale to raise money and they will also have a stand on the summer faire to raise further funds. It was decided that the money is donated through the “Aktion Hessen Hilft” organisation who visited school to receive a check of €1200.

We are happy to say that fundraising events are ongoing and we are very touched by how active our pupils are. Well done and thank you to everybody involved!
