About us

The European School Frankfurt am Main (ESF) is one of 13 schools in six countries (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Spain) in the European Schools system, recognised as official educational institutions and jointly supervised by EU governments. The aim is to provide multilingual and multicultural education for nursery, primary and secondary school children.

The European School Frankfurt was opened in 2002 and currently offers pre-school and school places to around 1600 pupils. In autumn 2018 the Spanish Section was opened in the pre-school, in addition to the already existing sections German, English, French and Italian.

An open, positive and respectful interaction with each other is important to us.  Life at the European School is colourful, challenging and rewarding in many ways. It is a daily enrichment for all members of the school community on a personal and professional level. As we celebrate our differences, we feel more and more connected.
