In the nursery and primary school, school trips and excursions are closely linked to the educational objectives of the European Curriculum. Therefore, they are obligatory.
- In P1 school trips and excursions are only organized during the school day.
- From P2 to P5 regular excursions during the school day are customary as well as longer extended school trips for 2-5 days.
Purpose of School Trips
The purpose of such trips is to develop the children’s autonomy, responsibility and social relationships outside of the school environment through cooperation and collaboration. By discovering and experiencing a new environment, area, country or culture with their peers our pupils get the opportunity to reinforce the European spirit in unique and memorable settings.
